Knit Friendly Pup Bottle Cover Up


Materials :
AMERICAN THREAD COMPANY
"AUNT LYDIA'S" HEAVY RUG YARN
2—70 yd. skeins Cream
1  Pr. Knitting Needles No. 11 
Scraps of Black and Red felt
GAUGE: 3 sts = 1 inch

BODY: 
Cast on 34 sts. 1st ROW: * K 1, P 1, repeat from * across row. 2nd ROW: * P 1, K 1, repeat from * across row. Repeat these 2 rows until piece measures 10 inches. Place a marker in center of row, dec 1 st at beg, 1 st before marker, 1 st after marker and 1 st at end of row. Repeat last row 3 times, bind off. Sew side seam. Cut feet, eyes, nose and ears. Sew feet and ears. Stuff with cotton and sew in place. Glue eyes and nose in place.
EARS: 
Cast on 3 sts. 1st ROW: K 1, P 1, K 1. 2nd ROW: P 1, K 1 in 1st st, P 1, then K 1, P 1 in last st. 3rd ROW: K 1, P 1 in 1st st, K 1, P 1, K 1, then P 1, K 1 in last st. 4th ROW: K 1, * P 1, K 1, repeat from * across row. Repeat 4th row until piece measures 6 inches, bind off. Sew side seam. Sew ears on both sides of top. Cut eyes from Black felt and sew in place.
POMPON: 
Wind yarn 100 times over a 2 inch cardboard, slip off cardboard, tie at center, trim. Sew in place on top of head. Cut a 2 inch circle from Red felt. Work a running st along edge, draw to­gether, fill with cotton and sew in place for nose.
FEET: 
(Work 2.) Wind yarn 40 times over a 1 inch cardboard, slip off cardboard, tie at center, trim. Sew feet in place.
